Fundraising Cards - Time for an Easier Approach to Raising Money
Raising money for non-profit
groups and organizations can be fun and profitable, or it can involve an
incredible amount of work and planning.
With fundraising cards, you enjoy great profits without all of the
intensive preparation and hard work, and while this method of fundraising has
been around for decades, it's just as popular and effective as it was in the
beginning. Whether yours is a school
club or organization such as the band, choir, or PT, a church group, a sports
team (hockey, football, baseball, basketball, etc.) or some other type of
charity, we think you will find fundraising cards an amazing solution when your
group is in need of funds.
With fundraising cards, you
have a couple of different options. You
can choose the standard option in which the card company contacts and secures
merchants' offers for the cards, or you can choose the do-it-yourself option in
which you handle this task yourself.
Here is a quick overview of the two:
Standard full service card -
Order 500 cards, your cost is $3 per card and if all are sold by your group,
you enjoy profits of $3,500, assuming cards were sold for $10 each. Additionally, you get 200 cards free with
every 1,000 ordered. You order the
number of cards you need (250, 500, 1,000 and so on) depending on the size of
your group.
Do-it-yourself card - Order
500 cards, your cost is $1.80 per card and if all cards are sold by your group
at $10 each, your total profits equal $4,600 (you get 50 cards free, therefore
profits are based on the sale of 550 cards).
With this option, you get 10% donation of free cards from the card
company regardless of the number of cards ordered, so if you order 1,000 cards
you get 100 free, etc.
Even if you choose the DIY
option, the company handles all of the details (design, printing, shipping,
etc.). The only difference is that you
contact the merchants and secure their participation.
Fundraising cards work so
well because customers realize the great value they are getting, which isn't
the case with many popular items used to raise money. Customers who purchase a card get to use it
for an entire year, and enjoy discount offers and buy-one-get-one-free deals on
food, family entertainment, car services (tune-up, oil change, etc.), hair
salons, and more. These are products and
services most people spend money on regularly, so the value to the customer is
real.
One reason so many groups and
organizations rely on the cards time after time is because of their ease in
selling, but also because there is far less work and hassle involved. With fundraising cards, there are no bulky
cartons to carry around, and no worries about melting or spoilage like there
are with candy bars, cookie dough, and other food items. They're easy to store, and easy to tuck away
in a pocket so they're readily available should an opportunity to sell present
itself no matter where you may be.
Because customers realize their value, it also means easier selling for
the members of your group, so no "hard sell" tactics will be
necessary.
Are you ready for an easier
approach to raising money for your group or organization? Give fundraising cards a try, and you will
wonder why you didn’t go this route a long time ago!
